Osteopathy

At Movement Matters Osteopathy, our osteopaths take a whole-body approach to understanding your pain and movement challenges. Rather than focusing only on the site of discomfort, we look at how your body is functioning as a system, identifying the root cause of the issue and the factors surrounding it.

Using a combination of hands-on treatment, movement-based therapy, and tailored advice, we help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support long-term recovery.

Our osteopaths commonly help with:

At Movement Matters Osteopathy, our massage therapy is designed to do more than just help you relax — it’s focused, therapeutic care that supports recovery, movement, and overall wellbeing.

With a strong emphasis on rehabilitation, our treatments are tailored to help reduce pain, restore range of motion, and improve overall function. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing ongoing muscle tension, or simply feeling the effects of a busy lifestyle, each session is personalised to what your body needs on the day.

We draw on a range of evidence-based techniques, including:

  • Remedial and sports massage

  • Deep tissue techniques

  • Trigger point therapy

  • Cupping

  • Assisted stretching

  • Relaxation (Swedish) massage​

The goal is simple: to help you move better, feel better, and get back to doing what you enjoy.

Small Group Training 

Move with purpose in our small group training sessions — a personalised, strength-focused approach to building a more capable, resilient body.

These 45-minute classes are designed to blend controlled movement, strength work, and functional training in a supportive, semi-private environment. With a maximum of just three people per class, you’ll benefit from close guidance, tailored progressions, and attention to technique that you simply don’t get in larger group settings.

Each session incorporates a mix of:

  • Reformer-based resistance training

  • Mat-based movement and core work

  • Pilates-focused strength exercises to build power and endurance

  • Exercises to guide rehabilitation and injury prevention 

Led by a qualified instructor, sessions are thoughtfully programmed to challenge you at your level - whether you’re returning from injury, building strength, or looking to move and feel better in your day-to-day life. 

Our instructors will work closely with your osteopath or massage therapist at Movement Matters Osteopathy to ensure exercises are appropriate and meet you where you're at.
